[1] About YV Research
YV Research is a small, independent scientific research and development laboratory located in Queens Village, New York. Established in 1982, our facility focuses on advanced information retrieval systems, distributed computing networks, and survey data tabulation methodologies.
Research Objectives
Our core mission is to investigate and refine computer-assisted systems that handle large-scale behavioral and retail databases. By bridging the gap between scientific computing architectures and practical information dissemination, YV Research seeks to optimize computational efficiency for:
- Hypertext-based knowledge classification systems.
- Distributed data validation algorithms over dial-up nodes.
- Low-overhead statistical tabulation languages.
Corporate History & Support
YV Research was founded by a pioneering lead database engineer and systems analyst to provide high-touch, industrial-grade data validation and processing services. Throughout the 1980s, the lab grew from a single-terminal PDP-11 dial-up station to a multi-node networked lab environment comprising VAX mainframe connections and UNIX workstations.
We operate as both a software development lab (designing compiling engines for tabulation analysis) and a services contractor, supporting academic, retail, and political survey auditing across North America.
